We want to give another HUGE thank you to Dave Spitz and Shaheen for coming out to the gym to discuss The Barbell WOD and give us some very valuable information on the snatch, clean, and jerk!
It felt great to be coached this evening. It’s not often somebody breaks down my movement and lets me know small mistakes i’m making. It was very refreshing. Having Dave and Shaheen show me simple drills to fix small problems before they became huge problems down the road was a very humbling experience. This experience will be directed right towards all of you. When I learn, you learn. I can’t wait to share what we learned this evening with you all.
A valuable lesson that we learned this evening that I can share with you all is that you must have confidence and courage in all that you do. Confidence to attempt the lift, and courage to commit to the lift. If you don’t have either one of those, you’ll fail to progress.
We will be starting The Barbell WOD programming staring in January. All the details will be finalized soon.
If you have any questions about anything we covered tonight or The Barbell WOD, just ask!
-Joey
