Don’t talk about it. Be about it.
I hear this sentence constantly from students around the gym. “I want to get better at (fill in the blank)”
This sentence also comes up from time to time as well. “I suck at (fill in the blank)”
Here’s a question for you, “What are you going to do about it?”
There’s countless resources within our facility to help you reach any goal it is you’re trying to accomplish or skill your trying to improve. What it’s all going to boil down to is. Are you willing to put in the work to make it happen? If you don’t put in the work, especially the extra work some skills will take to improve, you won’t see the results. Period. There’s only so much time in class to cover certain things. Coming in early or staying a little after class and getting a couple extra sets of pull ups or ring dips in will greatly help your chance of enhancing that skill to a higher level. Coming to open gym time to work on your cleans and snatches will tremendously improve your skill set.
Next time you ask yourself one of the above mentioned sentences I want you to think. “Am I willing to put in the work?”
