1/26/15 – Strongman Seminar & Weekend Schedule

StrongmanCertStone

This weekend was an amazing experience. If you didn’t know, we had the pleasure of hosting the CrossFit Strongman Training Seminar. I feel like this was the opportunity of a lifetime and I was beyond excited when I received the email saying it was a go. I’ve been through this seminar before back in September. This time around, I had the chance to be an intern. Our very own Jerry Ribiera just recently joined the Strongman Staff and this was his first go at helping coach a seminar. It’s safe to say we’re pretty much killing the strongman game. I’m riding such a positive wave of energy from Saturday’s seminar right into this week. All I can say is, don’t be surprise when you start seeing more strongman movements get thrown into our group classes and warm ups.

I want to give a big shoutout to our very own Lauren Laugen for successfully completing the course and earning herself the right to add ‘Strongman Trainer’ to her list of credentials. Big things are going to be happening here in 2015. I have one question for all of you. Are you ready?

I’d also like to give thanks to Rob Orlando, Hybrid Athletes, and Logan Gelbrich for giving us this opportunity and for making this weekend one to remember forever.

The schedule for this weekend is slighty modified as I am heading out to Venice Beach this weekend to participate in the Crossfit PowerLifting Seminar. Huge knowledge bombs will be dropped and tons of information will be brought back to our facility. I wasn’t joking when I told you guys big things are going to be happening.

So, Friday afternoon/evening there will only be a 6:30PM Group class and 7:30 Open gym. On Saturday, there will only be a 8AM class. I will be handing Lauren the torch. She’ll be holding it down while i’m gone. Regular class times will resume that following Monday, February 2nd.
