I couldn’t be more proud of this woman.  This past weekend we took a trip up to Oregon to compete in our first USPA Powerlifting Meet.  The experience is one that will last a life time.

Lauren came to break necks and cash checks. She ended up taking home a gold medal in the 60kg Open Raw category with a 777lb total (353kg) and also ‘Best Lifter’ in the same category with a Wilks of 400.

Lauren finished the meet with these lifts:

Squat – 276lbs (11 lb PR)
Bench – 176lbs (1 lb PR)
Deadlift – 325lbs (20lb PR)

She showed what hard work and determination can do. Leading from the front is all she knows.

Workout of the Day

A. Every 2 minutes, for 10 minutes (5 sets):
Back Squat
*Set 1 – 6 reps @ 65%
*Set 2 – 4 reps @ 75%
*Set 3 – 2 reps @ 85%
*Set 4 – 2 reps @ 90%
*Set 5 – 1 rep @ 95%

B. One set of:
Back Squat – Max Unbroken Reps @ 90%

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 15 minutes of:
20 Dumbbell Box Step-Overs 20″ 55/35
20 Push Press 95/65
40 Double-Unders
